Houston- We have MOVEMENT!!!

Oh my gosh.  I have waited and waited and worried and prayed and prayed for this day.

Around 7:00 I laid down in the bed in our room to check out the DVR to see if it was full (random, I know), and then I felt it.  Little flutter-like kicks on my lower left side.  At first I didn't believe it.  Could it be?  I called for Z and he came running.  I pulled up my shirt for the closest contact we could get and put his hand on the spot.  He looked at me then up at the ceiling like he was thinking/feeling for it.  Then, his face broke out into a smile and I lost it!  DO YOU FEEL IT!?!?  I asked.  Yeah, he said!  It's light, but I definitely feel it.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!  What an amazing night!  This little baby is getting his/her kicks ready for his/her debut tomorrow!

Stroller Searching

So I've been researching strollers for 2 weeks now and still can't decide what to do!  I have decided on a Chi.cco Key Fit infant seat.  But I'm stumped on the stroller!  Here are my 'options'. Let me know what you think please!

1.  Chi.cco Travel System
Seems good in that for one price I get an infant carrier and matching stroller.  Stroller can be used long after the baby is out of the carrier.  But I hear that these are very heavy and bulky.

2.  Chi.cco infant seat with snap-n-go base thingy
This seems good b/c the frame is definitely lightweight and once the baby is out of that infant seat we can invest in a good lightweight stroller to last the rest of the 'stroller days'

3.  Bumble.ride stroller
I heart this stroller.  But I do not heart the price tag.  I love that this stroller has that reversible/flip handle so the baby can face me or fact out.  I also love the big canopy and the fact that the seat fully reclines should I want to put a sleeping infant in there with one of those snuggle things to help the small size of the baby fit better.  It also has a bar for attaching an infant seat.

So, please tell.  What criteria helped you make a stroller decision?

20 weeks

weight: +7 total

sleep: I sure miss sleeping on my stomach!  I am getting used to sleeping on my side with a little pillow between my knees but sometimes I wake up with sore hips.  We rotated the mattress so maybe that'll help!

exercise: I know I need to, but after being on my feet and walking the halls, playground, and classroom all day I can't muster the energy when i get home!

cravings: fruit , crystal light water bottle drink mixer thingys, and Mexican food!

maternity clothes: yep! I yank on the pants most of the day but it's worth it to not have to deal with the belly band (which was convenient there for a while).  I still haven't worn all the clothes I got  a few weeks ago b/c it's been too warm!  Weird weather here in GA!

mood: still pretty emotional during the week due to work stuff.  I am going to have to make some major decisions about my job for next year.  I can't work 7-6 with a baby at home.  It isn't fair to our little family.  So something will have to give.

gender: agh!  I'm so back and forth!  Especially after having a dream of each.  The chinese gender pre.dictor says girl.  But to me my belly seems low (maybe??) so now I'm thinking boy... Zach still thinks girl.  We find out Tuesday!

baby: the length of a banana

movement: I don't think so.  It bothers me and had me extra emotional yesterday (my official halfway day).  I know there is still time.  And sometimes I think I feel something but then I am like, 'no that wasn't it'.  Can't wait to see him/her move at that sonogram appt!  I'll feel much better then!

I can't believe I'm 20 weeks!  What a blessing!

Time Flies!

Whoa.  I really can't believe it.  Someone at work asked me how far along I am today and it took me a minute (for some reason!) to say 20 weeks tomorrow!  WHAT!  20 weeks!  Halfway there!  Are you kidding me!!!??!?  Where did the time go?  As much as I can.not.wait. to meet our baby, I have done NOTHING in preparation!  I feel like I have so much to do.  I need to start my list making.  I meant to have done that already.  You know, like each month what I want to accomplish, that sort of thing.  But wow.  20 weeks tomorrow.  Crazy town.

In other news, well, not really news-news, but I still haven't felt the baby.  :(  I'm sad when I think about it and sometimes, especially at night, I kinda freak out about it.  I know 'they' say some people won't feel the baby until 22 weeks.  But man I had hoped for sooner.

I think that is just what I need to kick my butt into baby nesting mode:
1.  I need to feel this baby move!!!
2.  I need to know if I'm planning for baby girl or baby boy!  6 more days!  Vote and tell me what you think!  (Poll is up on the right there).

Ok, gotta hit the road.  I am meeting my girls for our monthly book club, gossip, and food eating session!  Always fun times!

Before I go, humor me, when did you feel your baby move?

A Baby Dream

Ok, so we all know Z and I have been DYING to find out the sex of the baby and we still are.  I keep halfway joking we'll never know b/c the babies legs are always crossed at the ankle!

Anyway, back over the summer (or maybe it was early fall) I had my first baby dream. It was short but I can still clearly see a little girl with fine, light brown curls in a green velvet dress (like maybe a holiday dress) sitting up on the floor in the hallway between our bedroom and the nursery.  Z and I were laying on the floor in front of her going ga-ga over and talking to her.  Then I woke up.  From then on I was convinced we were having a girl.

Fast forward to the other night.  I was in the hospital, in labor and delivery.  The ultrasound girl told us it was a girl and we immediately called her by the latest name on the top of our girl list.  However, later in the dream nurses and doctors were getting things ready for a C-section.  They said the baby was too big to delivery vaginally and a c-section was a must.  The next thing I know, I am holding a baby in my arms and looking down lovingly at a BOY!  A boy with brown curly/wavy hair.  Oh, and he was 11 pounds 6 oz to be exact.  I mean, really!?!?  What a dream!  So do I think it's a boy now?  I have NO IDEA anymore!  :)

I really feel both dreams occurred due to outside influence.  The first dream came after spending some time with a friend's daughter and the one the other night came after talking about all our friends that have boys and also sharing L&D stories.  But interesting nevertheless.

Have any of you had baby dreams?  If you found out the sex of your little one, was your dream true?

Belly Pics :)

These were taken @ 17w 3d by my talented husband!  It was strange to be the subject of a photo shoot by him!  I'm used to helping behind the lens.  :)  It was really fun, though! I am so glad we were able to get our little Sadie in some pics, too.  Looking forward to more when my belly grows!!!

Maternity Clothes Shopping

I decided I didn't have the time or energy to deal with the mall and the maternity store. So... online shopping it was! I have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, bought clothes online before. Yes, I know, I'm like the last person left in the world who does not online shop. There is just something about going into the store, seeing it on display, seeing all the colors, feeling it, trying it on. idk. call me crazy! haha!!

Anyway, I ordered some cute stuff (and some undies) from Mother.hood Matern.ity via A.ma.zon last week and they came in! I did a little fashion show last night to make sure it all fit and it all does, for the most part. The cute denim dress is a little big, but I figure in a month or so it'll be just right and I'll just layer it with tights and boots! YAY! Gotta say- it was easy to fill up the cart and this whole 'delivery at your door' is kinda fun!!! I can get addicted to this!!!

Here's what I got:
